They thought the snowstorm was the real danger. Marcus stares out the window while Anna pulls up to the porch. Her gut is telling her something isn't right. Driving past the “Private Property” sign they decide to take their chances. Asking for help from a stranger seems better than navigating a whiteout in the woods. Boots crushing fresh snow they trudge to the front door. It swings open before they knock. The woman on the other side greets them as though she’s been waiting for them to arrive. Ruth, with a smile too big and a husband who glares but doesn't speak, invites them to stay the night. The next day with no cell service, phone lines down and a car that no longer works, Anna starts to panic. When she sets out on foot to find someone to help, she discovers that something is very wrong with the locals. Frightened and looking for a way out, she discovers a secret that confirms her biggest fear. With time running out and the forest closing in, she realizes they won’t all make it out of this alive
